The photos on this page are mainly of our current canal... The Llangollen, with a few of the Shroppie and the River Weaver.

The above right photo is Grindley Brook from Willow's home mooring. We have an excellent mooring on the offside of the canal where, in a handy manner, motorhome meets Willow - even with a bit of winter snow.

And here's a real archived photo taken by my old Dad with his box brownie camera, summer 1958.Our family was on holiday in one of the first hire narrowboats on the Llangollen canal. The location is New Martin Locks. That's our hire boat ("Sabot") being steered into the lock by my Mum and sister. The healthy and safety conscious boy sitting on that balance beam is yours truly, just turned 6yrs....More than 60 years later I'm still messing about at locks.

River Weaver:
Access to the River Weaver from the Trent & Mersey Canal is via the Anderton Lift.
